Ihack08

Walaupun ia dah tamat beberapa mggu yg lepas…ak nk gak share pengalaman ak ngn korang event Nets ( Data Communication and Networking Society ) ni..Ihack atau pun name panjgnye International Hacking Competition telah diadakan selama 5 tahun ( klw xsilap ak) dan pada tahun ni, ia di adakan pada 15-17 Ogos 2008.Bermula ngn OSHACK ( Open Source n Hack Comp ) saban tahun ia berkembang seperti yang kite tau sekarang.

Di sini ingin ak tegaskan, event ni bknlah utk melatih Black Hat, tp event ini adalah utk meluaskan dan membuka minda pelajar2 n masyarakat umum bhw, ” to prevent an intruders, we need to be like them”,(ajoi,2008).Maksd ak disini, untuk kite menghalang segala bentuk attack dari luar sistem, kite mestilah tahu bgaimana mereka buat dan bekerja, barulah kite dapt care yang paling berkesan utk menghalang. Klw kite xtau, bgaimana kite nk prevent?

Kat sini gak, ak nk terangkan lebih jelas ap itu Hackers:

“Hacker is a term used by some to mean “a clever programmer” and by others, especially those in popular media, to mean “someone who tries to break into computer systems.”The term hacker is used in popular media to describe someone who attempts to break into computer systems. Typically, this kind of hacker would be a proficient programmer or engineer with sufficient technical knowledge to understand the weak points in a security system.Eric Raymond, compiler of The New Hacker’s Dictionary, defines a hacker as a clever programmer. A “good hack” is a clever solution to a programming problem and “hacking” is the act of doing it.

Raymond lists five possible characteristics that qualify one as a hacker, which we paraphrase here:

• A person who enjoys learning details of a programming language or system
• A person who enjoys actually doing the programming rather than just theorizing about it
• A person capable of appreciating someone else’s hacking
• A person who picks up programming quickly
• A person who is an expert at a particular programming language or system, as in “Unix hacker”

Jadi, apakah itu crackers??Mmm,okeh skrg kite tgk ap itu definisi crackers:

“A cracker is someone who breaks into someone else’s computer system, often on a network; bypasses passwords or licenses in computer programs; or in other ways intentionally breaches computer security. A cracker can be doing this for profit, maliciously, for some altruistic purpose or cause, or because the challenge is there. Some breaking-and-entering has been done ostensibly to point out weaknesses in a site’s security system.”

The term “cracker” is not to be confused with “hacker“. Hackers generally deplore cracking. However, as Eric Raymond, compiler of The New Hacker’s Dictionary notes, some journalists ascribe break-ins to “hackers.”

A classic story of the tracking down of a cracker on the Internet who was breaking into U.S. military and other computers is told in Clifford Stoll’s The Cuckoo’s Egg. ( Searcsecurity.com,2008).

Gambar di atas adalah sekretariat asal Ihack08 di Dusun Eco Resort, Bentong Pahang semasa Program Team Building. Tapi keadaan tidak mengizinkin, ramai gak yg dah keluar n masuk. Walaupun begitu, itu tidaklah menjadi penghalang untuk program ini di teruskan. Kat sini, ak nk ucapkan tahniah kepada sume sekretariat  Ihack08 termasuk diri ak sendiri..huhu.

Agak lumayan kan?So, klw berminat selepas ini, daftar2kanlah diri anda untuk Ihack09 pulak..insyaallah ia lebih baik lagi dari taun ni..:-)
